Bluegrass Bucks and Beards was started by Rob and Fred Scroggins. These two brothers were raised on a small farm in the rolling hills of Grant County, Kentucky. Their parents loved the outdoors and taught the boys to shoot, bow hunt, and fish. From the time they could hold their own equipment they have roamed the woods and creeks searching for that perfect patch of trees or pool of water. What they have found is approximately 1700 acres of prime Kentucky hunting ground.
Rob, the eldest, is an Operating Room nurse and a Retired Army Reserve Captain who served in Desert Storm. He is married with three children. Rob volunteers as a Kentucky Hunter Education Instructor. Fred is a full time Law Enforcement Officer. He is married with two sons. These are the jobs that feed their families and make their wives happy. Bluegrass Bucks and Beards is the dream that keeps them going.
Between them they have harvested all variety of animals including squirrel, rabbit, quail, pheasant, dove, waterfowl, whitetail deer, elk, and turkey. When they
aren't in the woods they're on the water- fishing for local bluegill and bass or traveling to fish for stripers and a variety of salt water species
